WWE’s Lyra Valkyria has addressed her wardrobe malfunction in the Royal Rumble match, and how Liv Morgan helped her out.
The Women’s Intercontinental Champion had an unfortunate start to her stint in the 30 women’s match.
After making her entrance in the #4 spot, Valkyria’s top came undone following sequences with Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez and IYO SKY.
Valkyria addressed this unfortunate moment on the Battleground Podcast, noting she was thankful for what happened next.
She explained:
“Of course, it would be in the Royal Rumble—my biggest show ever. Why not? My top just had to fall off. I’ve never been so happy to be hit in the face.”
“It was completely out of my control, so I just handled it the best way I could,” she said. “You can’t let stuff like that throw you off.
“At the end of the day, I got to run that ramp as the Women’s Intercontinental Champion—pretty cool moment.”
The punch in the face in question came from Liv Morgan, who was praised online for her quick thinking.
Morgan dropped Valkyria with a strike which allowed the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion to fix her gear before continuing in the match.
