On July 13, WWE’s IYO SKY faces Utami Hayashishita at Marigold Summer Destiny, with Giulia also facing Sareee.
Giulia appeared on-screen at WWE NXT Stand & Deliver in April 2024, but has yet to fully debut.
The upcoming match against Sareee marks Giulia’s first match since suffering an injury with plans for her WWE NXT in-ring debut approaching.
Sareee is no stranger to the WWE either, having signed with the company in February 2020 with a delayed debut due to COVID-19, performing as Sarray on NXT.
With current WWE star IYO SKY also on the Marigold Summer Destiny show, Sareee commented on what WWE fans can expect, saying:
“With IYO (SKY) appearing, the WWE Universe will be paying attention, and I think they’ll watch the match (on stream).
“I also want to show the world a level-up version of myself that is completely different from the Sarray I was in WWE.
“And now, I am the one standing in the middle of the Marigold ring. I will beat Giulia and prove that I am the true ace of Marigold!”
Sareee left WWE in March 2023 and returned to her native Japan and has reflected on her experience saying “it wasn’t a failure at all.”
As confirmed by the Marigold Joshi Twitter account, ‘Giulia vs Sareee will determine the 1st Marigold World champion!’
The Marigold World Championship belt has been “christened The Crimson Red Belt” to continue a tradition handed down by All Japan Women’s Pro Wrestling.
