February 16, 2024 marks the 5 year anniversary of WWE crowning their first Women’s Tag Team Champions. Back at Elimination Chamber 2019, Bayley and Sasha Banks, also known as The Boss & Hug Connection, won the Chamber to become the inaugural champions.
On Friday morning, WWE tweeted a celebratory post to pay tribute to the title and its history over the past five years.

And we fought for them for over 6 years. For our division and more opportunity. Grateful for my time with you
The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) are the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Bayley recently won the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match and will challenge IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 40. Meanwhile, Sasha Banks, now known as Mercedes Mone, is expected to debut for AEW next month.
