Ex-WWE Star Wants In On Tony Khan’s AEW ‘Meat’ Business AEW

All Out 2023 gave us Miro vs Powerhouse Hobbs in a match that led to meat-based chanting from the live Chicago crowd.

Even Tony Khan would acknowledge the chanting, saying that the “meat forever” chants were justified in a tweet during the match.

AEW would release a commemorative T-shirt for the “Battle of the Meats” that would be available through their online store.

The current meat obsession in AEW hasn’t gone unnoticed by former WWE star Shawn Stasiak, who also went by the ring name ‘Meat’, who tweeted:

“Hey @TonyKhan, what’s up with all this “MEAT” business?

“I mean it was nice to “Meet” you a couple years ago backstage but cmon man….Aged Meat when preserved well….is actually AGELESS! 😉👊”

Stasiak made his wrestling debut in 1996 and would sign a WWE contract in 1996 but he would be suspended in December 1999 after a backstage incident before being fired.

He would sign with WCW in early 2000, going on to team with Chuck Palumbo as Perfect Event and become three-time WCW World Tag Team Championship.

In March 2001, WWE would purchase WCW, which would lead to Palumbo’s return to the company where he would become a fifteen-time WWE Hardcore Champion.

Stasiak would request his release from his WWE contract in September 2022 and would go on to become a qualified chiropractor.
