Sheamus has mocked GUNTHER after the September 4 episode of WWE Raw which saw the Austrian retain the Intercontinental Championship.
GUNTHER faced Chad Gable in the main event of WWE Raw in Charlotte, North Carolina, defeating his challenger in front of Gable’s family.
This was officially the last title defense for the champion before he breaks Honky Tonk Man’s record in the next few days.
Never one to miss an opportunity to mock GUNTHER on social media, Sheamus posted a message to the record-breaking champion, writing:
“A stain on the legacy of Honky Tonk Man.”
The post, which can be seen below, also included a graphic of an aged GUNTHER with the caption:
“35 years later… no one remembers ze GOONTHA!!”
Previously, Sheamus took the time to mock the Intercontinental Champion for his lack of socks.
This isn’t the first time that Sheamus has had fun with GUNTHER’s profile picture, posting several mock-up versions, albeit heavily edited to give the Austrian a massive chin, forehead and changing his expression to make him look very upset.
When he’s not using GUNTHER’s profile photo for his own amusement, he’s also been sharing his thoughts on Imperium with inappropriate language and claiming that GUNTHER peaked with their match at WWE Clash at the Castle.
