A WWE star has broken character after their first championship victory in six years on this week’s episode of NXT.
On this week’s episode of WWE NXT, the 2024 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic winners, Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker, received their shot at the NXT Tag Team Championship held by Tony D’Angelo and Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo.
Corbin and Breakker went on to capture the championship, which marked Corbin’s first title win in six years, last holding the United States Championship back in December 2017.
Taking to Instagram after the win, Corbin reflected on his title win, as well as putting over Breakker, the NXT staff, and his opponents.
He wrote:
Damn this felt good! 6 years since I’ve held gold! @bronbreakkerwwe has made absolutely wreaking dudes so much fun!! He’s one hell of a team mate. I’m glad I could lead him to gold haha and I truly believe that we are the absolute best tag team in WWE
HBK, Johnny R, Baldo, Terry T and Steve C have just absolute lit the fire in me from the moment they allowed me to come back to @wwenxt and reinvent my self and allowing me to be ME.
Also the fans in NXT are always on fire so thank you!!! You play a massive part in our success.
Lastly @tonydangelo_wwe and @channing_wwe are absolute stars
Plans for Bron Breakker’s main roster call up have been revealed following his title win, which you can see here.
Bron made an appearance in the 2024 Royal Rumble match, where he reportedly replaced Brock Lesnar.
