Bron Breakker’s WWE main roster call-up effectively took place at the Royal Rumble in January 2024 and he’s now the NXT Tag Team Champion.
Breakker and Baron Corbin won the NXT Tag Team Championships by defeating Tony D’Angelo & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo on the February 13 episode of the show.
Highlights from the tag team championship match can be seen below this news story.
With Breakker’s main roster call-up already in place, he had teased the possibility of a feud with Judgment Day and has made appearances on both Raw and SmackDown as he decides which brand to sign with,
Despite the new championship win in NXT, however, it appears that plans are still in place for Breakker on the main roster.
According to PWInsider Elite (via Cultaholic), he is still expected to be on the February 16 episode of WWE SmackDown which takes place in Salt Lake City.
As PWInsider notes, this does suggest that there won’t be a main roster ripple effect now that Breakker is NXT Tag Team Champion, and the storyline of deciding which main roster brand to side with looks likely to continue as planned.
The Undertaker recently praised Breakker for having the “it factor” beyond just physical appearance, discussing how he’s developed in NXT.
