AEW star Anthony Bowens has commented on working with Max Caster, stating that he and Caster had very good chemistry from the start.

With Bowens and Caster first teaming together in AEW in 2020, a reunion was recently teased on TV ahead of Bowens joining The Opps on the April 25 Collision episode.

Speaking with the Battleground Podcast, Bowens noted that a lot of moments with Caster were not planned, highlighting the recent team building exercises prior to Bowens being aligned with The Opps.

Noting that he and Caster have always had great chemistry, the former AEW World Tag Team Champion said:

“Not a lot of stuff is planned with us. Even the team building exercises we did prior to me joining The Opps, all that stuff was improv, all that stuff was off the cuff.

“Very very little stuff was planned and I think a lot of that we can do because we had very good chemistry from the start.

“Obviously we were a bit oil and water when it came to a lot of different things, but just the chemistry on camera just naturally shined through.

“People really saw that and saw how much fun we were having and that helped build our profile a lot.”

Bowens and Caster last shared the ring together at the WrestlePro X 10 year anniversary show in April, with Bowens defeating Caster in singles action.

We could eventually see this match happen again but in AEW, with Bowens recently stating that he feels he has “unfinished business” as a singles star.

The duo last shared the ring in AEW during the December 2025 Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal, with the former Acclaimed tag-team partners most recently teaming up in four-way action on the November 22, 2025 Full Gear Saturday Tailgate Brawl show.

With Bowens believing that he and Caster work well together, we’ll likely see the duo share the ring as both allies and enemies for years to come.
