As confirmed by WWE two weeks ago, the company’s South America Live Tour will see WWE make a return to Ecuador for the first time in 10 years this September.
WWE heads to South America between September 9 and 12 for a series of live shows in Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina and Chile.
Announcing today that tickets will go on sale for the tour on May 7, WWE also noted the length of time since each country last saw a show take place, along with the stars set to feature:
WWE today announced that tickets for their long-awaited return to South America this September will be available from 10am local time on Thursday, May 7, from wwe.com/events.
WWE Superstars from Monday Night Raw will descend on Quito, Ecuador, on Wednesday, September 9; Bogotá, Colombia, on Thursday, September 10; Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Friday, September 11; and Santiago, Chile, on Saturday, September 12.
This marks WWE’s first event in Ecuador for 10 years, and the first time WWE returns to Colombia, Argentina and Chile in 7 years.
Fans in attendance will see their favorite WWE Superstars in action including Intercontinental Champion Penta, Stephanie Vaquer, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, The Usos, “Original” El Grande Americano, GUNTHER, Oba Femi and many more*.
Ecuador last saw a WWE Live event take place in October 2016, with Kevin Owens defending his WWE Universal Championship against Seth Rollins.
The event in Chile will mark a homecoming for Stephanie Vaquer, originally from San Fernando, who signed with WWE in 2024.
The Importance Of International Tours
For many fans around the world, the only chance to see WWE stars in live action is during the international tour, with different regions experiencing a number of such events throughout the year.
While Premium Live Events, Raw and SmackDown may be at the top of the list for many WWE fans, untelevised house shows typically present a more cost-friendly option to see main roster stars up close.
The WWE European Summer Tour sees Raw, SmackDown and Clash in Italy all set to take place across the continent later this year, with the continent being a frequent destination for the TKO-owned entity.
With WWE PLE ticket prices seeing Kenny Omega stating that AEW fans don’t have to “mortgage your first house or sell off your first child”, criticism was clear when it came to the cost of seeing WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas this year.
Comparatively speaking, house show tickets cost much less than their televised counterpart, but it’s also unlikely that anything monumental that affects WWE storylines is likely to take place.
For some, the experience of being at a WWE show, wherever it takes place, is enough, while for others they’ll be looking for when the next time Raw, SmackDown or a PLE rolls into town.
