A new round of tryouts is underway in the United Kingdom at the WWE UK Performance Center facility near London, England.
WWE Recruit, the arm of the TKO-owned company that focuses on new talent, recently revealed that they were coming to the UK for a new round of tryouts in a post on their official Instagram.
The time has come for those very tryouts to take place, with WWE Recruit sharing a post on their Instagram Stories showing that the team were at the WWE UK Performance Center.
Located in Enfield, London, England, the WWE UK Performance was opened in January 2019 and served as the headquarters for NXT UK until the brand was discontinued in September 2022.
With the focus being on stars from the United Kingdom and Europe, among the names to have previously stated they have a WWE tryout, albeit without specifying the date and location, are Angel Hayze, Daz Black, Leon Cage, Tommy Vril and Maddy Morgan.

WWE Recruiting The Future
WWE Recruit offers multiple methods of entry into a potential future in the company, with tryouts being just one such path for independent wrestlers.
Alongside the regular tryouts, there’s also the NIL (Next In Line) program, with its focus on college elite athletes, and WWE ID, offering a program of mentorship to independent wrestlers.
Not all those who are called in for a tryout are guaranteed a contract, however, with a select few from each round finding their way to the Performance Center and, for those ready to make the move, a debut on NXT, as was recently seen with a number of signings just last night.
Shaping the stars of the future is down to a dedicated team, with Jim Smallman serving as International Talent Scout, having previously served a creative role within WWE.
What WWE is looking for in its stars has changed over the years, with Triple H recently commenting on being “a big believer in a variety of things” instead of being focused on just physique as a benchmark.
Indeed, just from the previously mentioned names, Angel Hayze, Daz Black, Leon Cage, Tommy Vril and Maddy Morgan, it could be argued that they all have different looks and talents that set them apart from the era of the “body guy”, with those names able to bring something different to what fans may expect. On top of that, Will Kroos made his debut on last night’s WWE NXT, with the heavyweight star confidently showcasing a moonsault.
Hopefully, from this latest tryout, fans will get to see more of what is to offer from future WWE stars coming in from the independent scene.
Perhaps, we’ll even get to see moments such as the video below, showing an insight into the WWE tryouts that took place in Germany back in 2018.
