AEW
On Sunday, May 24, All Elite Wrestling will present one of their tentpole pay-per-views of the year with AEW Double Or Nothing 2026 from the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.
With a little over three weeks away from the event, the company has only officially announced one match for the show with Kazuchika Okada defending the AEW International Championship against Konosuke Takeshita.
Considering there are only four weeks of television left before the major show, it should be interesting to see what matches get added to the card ahead of the trip to NYC.
Here are eight potential matches to be added to AEW Double Or Nothing 2026.
8. AEW World Tag Team Championship NYC Street Fight I Quit Match: FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) (c) vs. Adam Copeland & Christian Cage – If Cope & Cage Lose, They Will Never Team Again
At AEW Dynasty 2026, FTR defeated Adam Copeland and Christian Cage to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
Following this win, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler stated that Cope and Cage would never get another shot at the titles after their loss.
However, Copeland issued a challenge for one more match in a New York City Street Fight for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. If Cope & Cage lose, they vowed to retire their tag team.
With FTR accepting these terms and upping the ante to make it an I Quit Match, this should set the stage for a highly anticipated AEW World Tag Team Championship match with Cope and Cage at the Double Or Nothing 2026 pay-per-view.
7. The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. The Dogs (David Finlay & Clark Connors)
On the April 16 Spring BreakThru special of AEW Collision, The Young Bucks defeated The Rascalz.
Post match, The Dogs attacked both The Bucks and The Rascalz to send a message to the AEW tag team division.
Matt and Nick Jackson are looking to find their way back into contention for the AEW World Tag Team Titles sometime in the near future.
A win over The Dogs at AEW Double Or Nothing 2026 would be the best way for The Bucks to get their next and potentially final shot at the gold come May 24 in New York City.
AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship: Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne & Lena Kross) (c) vs. Mina Shirakawa & Harley Cameron vs. Kris Statlander & Hikaru Shida
Since making her return to All Elite Wrestling, Hikaru Shida has formed a partnership with Kris Statlander that has seen this pair of AEW Women’s World Champions team up.
After picking up some wins as a duo, Shida and Statlander have issued a challenge to Divine Dominion for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship for the April 29 episode of Dynamite.
Meanwhile, Harley Cameron and Mina Shirakawa have come together as a unit following the mystery attack on ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm and the split of the Babes of Wrath.
This could lead to a three-way match with Divine Dominion defending the titles against all four women that would highlight several different female stars at the AEW Double Or Nothing event.
AEW TBS Championship: Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Ruby Soho
Willow Nightingale has been earning the moniker of ‘The Comeback Killer’ during her reign as AEW TBS Champion.
From Hikaru Shida to Queen Aminata, returning stars have fallen to Nightingale as she continues to reign as a fighting champion.
This could set the stage for yet another returning talent to face off with Willow for the TBS Title come AEW Double Or Nothing 2026.
Since giving birth to her first child, Ruby Soho has been out of action and could be set to return for the first time in two years to challenge Willow for the gold in New York City.
AEW Women’s World Championship: Thekla (c) vs. Jamie Hayter vs. Alex Windsor
Ever since capturing the AEW Women’s World Championship, Thekla has sat atop of the mountain with no one being able to remove her from the perch.
‘The Toxic Spider’ most recently defeated Jamie Hayter at AEW Dynasty 2026 and then Hayter’s Brawling Birds tag team partner Alex Windsor on the April 16 Spring BreakThru special of Collision.
Both wins came due to Thekla finding a way to cheat to make sure she walked out with the gold.
With Hayter now cleared to compete again, it should lead to The Brawling Birds challenging Thekla in a three-way match at the upcoming AEW Double Or Nothing 2026 show.
Will Ospreay & The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia) vs. The Don Callis Family (Andrade El Idolo, Mark Davis, Hechicero, El Clon, Volador Jr. & Lance Archer) – Stadium Stampede Match
On the April 22 episode of AEW Dynamite, Mark Davis pulled off an upset win over Will Ospreay thanks to a piledriver on the apron and the doctor stopping the match due to damage to Ospreay’s previously injured neck.
After the match, Davis was about to deliver another piledriver to ‘The Aerial Assassin’ when Jon Moxley and The Death Riders made the save.
Then on the April 25 edition of AEW Collision, fans witnessed what happened after this with Moxley counseling Ospreay and trying to help him get back on track.
This could all lead to Ospreay and his arch enemies in The Death Riders teaming up to take down their mutual rivals in The Don Callis Family to set the stage for a Stadium Stampede Match of epic proportions at AEW Double Or Nothing 2026.
Kenny Omega vs. Swerve Strickland – Lights Out Match
On the February 18 edition of AEW Dynamite, Swerve Strickland defeated Kenny Omega. Post match, Strickland snapped and turned heel in a brutal assault on Omega.
After making his return following this attack at AEW Revolution 2026, Omega avenged this loss and defeated Swerve in a number one contenders match on the March 22 Dynamite.
Since then, Strickland has not appeared on AEW television, which has caused some questions on his whereabouts. Following Omega’s loss to MJF at AEW Dynasty 2026, this might be the perfect time for Swerve to make his return.
Setting up a third and final match of this trilogy, Swerve could come back to square off with Omega one more time in a Lights Out Match to conclude this rivalry at Double Or Nothing in Queens, New York.
AEW World Championship: Darby Allin (c) vs. MJF – If MJF Loses, He Will Never Challenge For The AEW World Championship Ever Again)
On the April 15 Spring BreakThru special edition of AEW Dynamite, Darby Allin defeated MJF to win the AEW World Title.
Following this loss, Maxwell Jacob Friedman has been irate and hellbent on regaining the gold.
After Allin told him that he would not give him a rematch until he puts something on the line, MJF may have to go to the extreme and put up the same stipulation that ‘Hangman’ Adam Page put up against him at Revolution 2026.
MJF saying he will never challenge for the AEW World Title ever again if he loses to Darby Allin would be a very compelling full circle moment and make for an intriguing main event to the Double Or Nothing 2026 pay-per-view on May 24.
