Brock Lesnar made his return to WWE on tonight’s May 18 episode of Raw in Greensboro and attacked Oba Femi.

The last time we saw Lesnar was at WrestleMania 42 when Femi defeated him in their match and Lesnar seemingly retired afterwards.

Tonight on WWE Raw, Femi was about to host the latest edition of his Open Challenge but he was attacked during his entrance by Lesnar who laid him out before leaving.

A few minutes later backstage, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce met with Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman, who handed Pearce a contract.

Heyman said the contract was for a match at WWE Clash In Italy between Lesnar and Femi, and that Lesnar had already signed it, so Pearce just needs to get a signature from Femi to make the match official.

The Future Of Brock Lesnar In WWE

Heading into this year, there was an expectation that Brock Lesnar could retire from WWE in his hometown of Minneapolis at SummerSlam in early August.

After the match against Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42 and Lesnar’s apparent retirement, it seemed like he may have the decision to bring his retirement forward.

However, that’s evidently not the case and it looks inevitable now that he and Femi will have a rematch in Turin at Clash In Italy on May 31.

One match that still stands out as not taking place is Lesnar vs GUNTHER, which was planned for WrestleMania 40 back in 2024 before Lesnar’s two-year absence because of him being named in the Janel Grant sexual abuse and trafficking lawsuit against WWE and Vince McMahon.

Now that he’s back, it seems like that match against GUNTHER may be back on and may be where Lesnar puts a bow on his career at SummerSlam.

Another possibility would be for Lesnar to get his win back against Femi at Clash In Italy to tie things at 1-1, then have the deciding match at SummerSlam with Femi scoring the win – but it’s probably best that Femi doesn’t lose at all for the forseeable future.
