An update has emerged on Brock Lesnar’s WWE status and in-ring future, following his apparent retirement at WrestleMania 42.

Brock Lesnar appeared to retire from pro-wrestling following his loss to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42, removing his shoes and gloves and emotionally embracing Paul Heyman.

While it was initially reported that there were some in WWE who believed that Lesnar hadn’t actually retired, WWE has since moved him the the Alumni section of the public roster page, and added him to the “forever” section of WWE’s “Then, Now, Forever, Together intro, as previously requested by Paul Heyman.

While Lesnar isn’t listed under the “Current Superstars” section of the public roster page, PWInsider Elite reports that Brock Lesnar remains listed as an active performer in WWE.

Lesnar is listed as a “Free Agent” not assigned to a specific brand, according to the report.

The public WWE roster page and the internal roster page serve different roles, with the internal roster presenting creative and others backstage with a list of talent available for shows.

The public page however is accessible by anyone, and provides fans with the information WWE wants them to have.

For example, listed under the Free Agent tab on the public page are AJ Lee, Brie Bella, Danhausen, Nikki Bella, Oba Femi, Omos and Paige, following Paige, AJ and the Bella Twins recently being moved to this section.

While Lesnar still being listed as active on the internal roster could just be a listing which needs updating, it has been heavily speculated by fans that Lesnar will actually have his final match at SummerSlam, which emanates from his home city of Minneapolis in August.

Paul Heyman recently stated that he didn’t know Brock Lesnar was going to retire at WrestleMania 42 until that moment, however it’s up to you whether you trust the Oracle on this occasion.

We will continue to provide more updates on Brock Lesnar’s status as they become available.
