Danhausen’s popularity and success has been praised by WWE President Nick Khan and Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque.
After his AEW contract expired back in February, Danhausen made his debut at the Elimination Chamber premium live event on February 28, emerging from the mysterious crate that had appeared backstage on episodes of Raw and SmackDown leading into the show.
Upon his debut, the crowd was less than impressed with Danhausen, booing his reveal and debut segment on the show.
However, it wouldn’t take long for Danhausen to win the hearts of the WWE fans, with him now one of the most popular stars in the entire company just two months after his debut, including an appearance at WrestleMania 42 and making his in-ring premium live event debut at Backlash.
Nick Khan & Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque Praise Danhausen’s WWE Popularity
In an update on Danhausen’s standing within WWE from PWInsider Elite (subscription required), Nick Khan and Paul Levesque were present at a WWE employee Town Hall today, where they commented on Danhausen.
The pair specifically praised Danhausen’s popularity and success since he made his debut at Elimination Chamber, with them showing clips of Danhausen at the Town Hall.
After showing the clips, they pointed out that Danhausen has become the company’s number two merchandise seller in just over two months as a WWE star.
They also noted that three of Danhausen’s current shirt designs are among the top 5 best selling shirts currently, as well as them praising his recent ESPN appearances and crossover appeal of Danhausen ‘cursing’ and ‘uncursing’ the New York Knicks.
Danhausen’s Next WWE SmackDown ‘Experiment’
After successfully cloning himself to create ‘Minihausen’ at WWE Backlash, we saw Danhausen back in his lab on last week’s SmackDown, where he was seemingly looking to resurrect someone backstage.
The person was much larger than Danhausen, which has led to a lot of speculation as to who could ultimately end up being resurrected by Danhausen.
There has been recent reports about a potential WWE return of Baron Corbin, with Dave Meltzer even speculating that he could be the person revealed to be in Danhausen’s lab.
Alternatively, there are other names such as Omos who have not been featured on main roster WWE television for a long time, who could be introduced as Danhausen’s next ‘experiment’.
