Becky Lynch recently captured the NXT Women’s Championship for the first time in her career.
Becky defeated Tiffany Stratton for the title on the September 12 episode of NXT, ending Tiffany’s run with the title.
Following Becky’s win, discourse emerged online regarding whether or not Stratton was ‘buried’ by losing to Becky on the show.
Speaking to WrestlingNews.co, Tiffany spoke about the match, and whether she believes she was buried in defeat.
She said:
“No, not even in the slightest. I feel like even being in the same ring with Becky Lynch just immediately makes my stock go up. I definitely feel like Becky brought out the best in me in that match. And even though I lost the title, I feel like I did not come out with a loss. Like I feel like I gained so much from that one match, even though I lost.
“She’s always trying to help out the younger talent. She wants the best for everybody there. And you can definitely tell that for sure.”
Tiffany is set to challenge Becky for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT No Mercy in an Extreme Rules match.
