WWE Star Says Joining Popular Faction ‘Changed Their Life’ WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio officially reformed the LWO back in March, with the group consisting of himself and the former Legado Del Fantasma, Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wide, Cruz Del Toro and Zelina Vega.

Since joining up with the LWO, Zelina Vega is finding herself on one of the best runs of her career, facing off with Rhea Ripley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in Puerto Rico and taking part in the Money In The Bank Ladder match.

Speaking with WrestleSphere, Zelina detailed being a part of the LWO, and how it has changed her life as well as her career.

She said:

“Joining the LWO has changed my life, my wrestling career and my life in general. It’s a whole new form of person for me because I never thought I’d be a good guy ever. It’s like I get to show a whole new side of me and getting to train under Rey Mysterio is something I never thought I’d get to do.”

Zelina was then asked about her connection with fans while a part of the group, especially during her match in Puerto Rico against Rhea Ripley.

She added:

“It was an honour really, I didn’t know what to expect when I went to Puerto Rico, but to have my family there and people I’ve not seen in a while was like the cherry on top. With the fans it’s almost like they relate to me more, it’s a whole new vulnerable side to me, but it’s one I’m starting to embrace.”
