Released WWE Star Says ‘Never Say Never’ About Returning

A released WWE star has said “never say never” to a potential return to the company in the future.

Amongst the most recent spat of WWE corporate layoffs on December 1, was a singular on-screen talent release, that being NXT backstage interviewer McKenzie Mitchell.

Mitchell, who had been with the company since 2019, had only positive sentiments despite the unfortunate news, citing her thankfulness for the experience as well as meeting her now husband, NXT commentator Vic Joseph.

With Mitchell departing WWE on seemingly good terms, the question many have asked if a return could potentially happen at some point in the future.

One vocal Twitter user posed this to WWE, not merely asking, but demanding that Mitchell be brought back to the company.

Something that drew the attention of Mitchell herself, who responded with a suggestion that a return could potentially happen somewhere down the line.

She said:

Never say never

Despite cries from fans for Mitchell to return, WWE have recently filled her role on NXT over the past few weeks with Kelly Kincaid.

Ahead of NXT Deadline on December 8, Shawn Michaels commented on Mitchell’s release from the company, revealing that he was “taken by surprise” by her departure.
