WWE has announced that a current star will be ‘out indefinitely’ following an attack on last week’s episode of Raw.
In recent weeks, Royce Keys has found himself tangled up in the Bloodline web, with him attempting to recruit his friend Jacob Fatu out of the group.
Roman Reigns has continued to boss Jacob around since Keys began attempting to get Jacob to leave the Bloodline, last week ordering him to take care of Keys.
The main event of the show saw Jacob Fatu and Royce Keys face off in a Street Fight, with Jacob picking up the win with the Tongan Death Grip.
After the match, Fatu continued the attack on Keys, keeping the Tongan Death Grip locked in, before hitting Keys with a Hip Attack in the corner with a steel chair as Roman Reigns watched on.
WWE Announces Royce Keys As ‘Out Indefinitely’
WWE recapped the ending of last week’s show at the top of this week’s show, with Michael Cole then delivering an injury update on Keys.
Cole announced that Royce Keys suffered a bruised larynx and cervical strain following Jacob’s attack, and is set to be out ‘indefinitely’.
The show would also see Solo Sikoa and Jey Uso go face to face, with Jey challenging Solo to a match tonight, where Jey will get to ‘deliver him’ to Roman Reigns should he defeat Solo in the match.
As of this writing, there is nothing to suggest that Keys is legitimately injured, with the injury announcement likely a kayfabe injury that will keep him off TV.
Roman Reigns’ Upcoming World Heavyweight Championship Defences
With Royce Keys at least temporarily out of the equation, that is one less potential challenger for Roman Reigns to have to worry about coming for his title.
Roman’s immediate future is a title defence on Raw in Mexico City next month against the winner of the tournament that is set to begin tonight featuring 8 luchadores from Raw, SmackDown and AAA.
Following Raw in Mexico City, Reigns is likely set for a clash with LA Knight, potentially at WWE Money In The Bank in New Orleans in October, with Reigns also announced for WWE Survivor Series in November, though that will likely see Reigns competing in a Bloodline War Games match.
