WWE Star Reacts To AEW Dynamite Segment WWE/AEW

WWE star Corey Graves seemingly reacted to a segment from AEW Dynamite tonight, making a joke about a current storyline on the show.

During MJF’s emotional promo segment, he may have been discussing his world title match at Worlds End against Samoa Joe but by the end of the segment, there were shenanigans afoot.

Four people in black hoodies emblazoned with the ‘devil’ mask on their backs ran out, attacking MJF.

With three holding him in place, a fourth looked primed to hit the champ with a baseball bat until Samoa Joe ran out and ran them off.

While the show cut to black as the masked assailants made their escape, then a message appeared on the screen, challenging MJF and Samoa Joe to a tag team match next week.

Despite Joe’s protests, MJF accepted the tag team match for next week despite not knowing who their opponents were after vowing to end the “Scooby Doo bulls**t,” and unmask the devil.

After a commercial break, Tony Schiavone on commentary noted that AEW IT had determined that someone had been able to break into the lighting and video aspect of the show in order to have just pulled off that segment.

Hilariously reacting to the segment while it was in progress, WWE commentator Corey Graves wrote on Twitter simply:

“Retribution?”

Referencing the past WWE storyline that involved hackers taking over aspects of the show, masked men running amok attacking people… it is vaguely reminiscent.

Elsewhere in the segment, MJF referenced not only CM Punk by name but also name dropped WWE and Cody Rhodes.
