MJF had no problem dropping some names on tonight’s AEW Dynamite including mentioning by name: WWE and CM Punk.
MJF gave an emotional promo in which he dropped references both subtle and direct.
He first noted that he had been in AEW since the very beginning, he wasn’t there for the money, he was there because he genuinely believed in the company.
Going on to address his future opponent Samoa Joe, MJF said that Joe wasn’t given the accolades that he deserved in WWE.
While the pair will face off as opponents at Worlds End, MJF described having discovered TNA and the work of Samoa Joe as a teen and loving it.
MJF described having created his own trail in All Elite Wrestling, he had bested names like Cody Rhodes and CM Punk, going on to continue naming AEW stars despite the crowd’s reactions to those two names in particular.
MJF is set for a AEW World Championship match against Samoa Joe at AEW Worlds End on December 30, 2023.
Tonight, MJF was attacked by the mysterious crew led by the ‘Devil’, before Samoa Joe saved him, and next week, it’ll be MJF and Joe teaming together against two of those mystery attackers.
