The date and location have been confirmed for AEW Revolution 2024 featuring the retirement match of Sting live on pay-per-view.
On tonight’s Dynamite in a backstage segment, Tony Schiavone interviewed Sting and Ric Flair as they revealed a big detail about the upcoming AEW Revolution 2024 event.
Set to feature the retirement match of Sting, Schiavone announced that Revolution 2024 would be held in Greensboro, South Carolina on March 3, 2024.
Describing the history between Ric Flair and Sting who had an important match in 1988 in Greensboro, South Carolina, Sting will look to the same location for his farewell.
Currently there is not an announced opponent for Sting’s retirement match as the build to Revolution 2024 first goes straight through AEW’s next pay-per-view, Worlds End on December 30.
Elsewhere on tonight’s AEW Dynamite, world champ MJF discussed his upcoming AEW title bout at AEW Worlds End on December 30, 2023.
Describing his opponent Samoa Joe, MJF even happened to specifically name drop WWE and CM Punk.
