A WWE star has reacted to claims that The Rock’s profanity filled promos since his return have been ‘rubbing people the wrong way’.
The Rock kicked off last night’s WWE SmackDown show with a ‘Rock Concert’ promo, where he sang about Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Cody’s mother and the Cody crybabies ahead of WrestleMania.
During the segment, and in many of his promos uploaded to social media during the feud, Rock has used a lot of curse words and profanity when dressing down his opponents.
Following the show, rumours emerged online about WWE talent being ‘rubbed the wrong way’ by Rock’s seeming double standard, with him being allowed to curse while other talents have to remain PG.
Reacting to the rumour, NXT star Dijak let The Rock know that he appreciates his use of profanity, and that they ‘inspire’ the next generation of ‘s**t-talkers’ in the company.
He said:
Don’t worry @TheRock, I love your profanity filled promos. They are very inspirational to the next generation of s**t-talkers in WWE.
