A WWE star has revealed that he’s working on an upcoming project with Warner Bros during his absence from the ring through injury.
Samoa Joe suffered a concussion while filming a WWE commercial in February and in recent months has been behind the desk on commentary for Raw during his time out of the ring.
Speaking on Taylor Wilde’s latest podcast, Joe explained that, despite his absence, he’s not done wrestling. He said:
“Right now I’m enjoying commentary on Raw. It’s been a fun challenge. Obviously, I’m not done in the ring by no means. I think right now I’m exploring things. Aside from that, I’m doing voice acting which is fun and very cool. It’s a very enjoyable thing. I have a project coming up with Warner Brothers. I’m very fortunate and I’m very happy that I’m doing the things I’m doing right now.”
Joe has received positive reviews throughout his time on Raw commentary for his energetic analysis, but that doesn’t mean we’ve not missed seeing him in the ring too.
There have been hints he could be stepping back in the squared circle recently but no trigger has been pulled.
