The October, 10 2022 edition of Monday Night Raw saw the unexpected return of the Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows) to the WWE after over two years away from the company.
While the return seemed unlikely throughout Anderson and Gallows’ absence, it was immaculately timed to coincide with AJ Styles’ ongoing war with Finn Balor and the Judgment Day, at a time when Styles looked potentially likely to join the groups ranks.
However, as great as the initial return at the Barclays Center proved to be, Anderson and Gallows recently revealed on Talk’n Shop that the original plan for the location and timing was very different.
However, due to prior commitments the pair had to re-arrange the date with WWE, pushing it back weeks after the original plans.
Gallows and Anderson revealed:
Anderson: “Little known fact, we almost debuted in Edmonton, in Canada a couple weeks before that (Barclays Center show in October).
Gallows: “We were happy that logistically and with what was going on in prior commitments that it didn’t work out.
“Not because we don’t like Edmonton. We had a great time in Edmonton but we knew that the New York faithful would give it to us and I think Edmonton would have given it to us as well but, New York’s a hot place to make a comeback.
Gallows conveyed their gratitude at having their initial debut in Los Angeles’ Staples Center and their return in New York at the Barclays Center, two famous locations with smart wrestling crowds.
Gallows stated:
“We’ve been lucky with two WWE debuts together, first being Staples Center in Los Angeles and then the return in the Barclays Center, New York City.
“WWE Staples but kind of old school, old school BULLET CLUB Staples like maybe you call it a smarter audience, I don’t know. But they always are welcoming and give us a little love. We love that.”
Gallows and Anderson spoke further on the special nature of their WWE return, calling it one of the greatest of all time, to read their full comments follow this link here.
