According to a new report, WWE stars and Triple H were prepared to answer questions about CM Punk at the post-Fastlane press conference.
While they didn’t ultimately end up being asked any questions related to CM Punk, at the post-WWE Fastlane press conference, it has now been revealed that WWE stars were prepped with what to say should they have been asked.
According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE prepared its talent, as well as Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque (Triple H), in case they were asked about Punk.
According to Fightful’s sources, the “line internally” in response to a possible Punk return would have been that there “is no remaining ill will between the two sides” and while the possibility is always there, “Punk wasn’t signed, negotiations weren’t ongoing” and that he was not planned for Survivor Series at that time.
Also that fans should not buy tickets to Survivor Series in Chicago on Saturday, November 25, 2023 with the expectation of seeing him – but as noted by Punk himself, they’re essentially sold out so hard to obtain at this time at any rate.
With this weekend’s premium live event WWE Crown Jewel 2023 occurring in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, perhaps someone will field a question from the media regarding CM Punk and get the opportunity to showcase the approved answer.
CM Punk for his part has announced another post-AEW appearance and it is set to occur in the mid-west in November.
