Major Star Addresses WWE Storyline Criticisms: ‘We All Feel Like That’ WWE

WWE star Trish Stratus has addressed criticisms surrounding her current rivalry with Becky Lynch ahead of their upcoming steel cage match.

Stratus and Lynch have been at odds since the Hall of Famer attacked The Man on the April 10 edition of Raw.

While it initially appeared that the feud was set to culminate at SummerSlam, the two stars ultimately didn’t face off on the August 6 show.

Stratus and Lynch are now slated to face off at Payback 2023 on September 2, where they will compete in a steel cage bout.

Speaking with the New York Post, Stratus acknowledged fan criticisms about this storyline dragging on.

Believing that the steel cage match will make it all worthwhile, she said:

“I know things were kind of lost, like ‘Oh this is running on and it’s dragging.’ Whatever. Sure we all feel like that.

“I’m sure people thought The Usos’ (Bloodline) story was dragging as well, but boy did they deliver at WrestleMania.

“To me, it’s when we get in the cage and people are committed to what we can do and what this generational face-off means, this unique opportunity to showcase what we can do, I’m pretty excited about it.”

During this feud, Stratus has been training up her protege Zoey Stark, who aligned herself with the Hall of Famer at Night of Champions.

Stark has now addressed a botch she made on this show which led to Becky Lynch suffering an injury, which you can read more about right here.
