It’s easy for any wrestling fan to see that Becky Lynch has not had the best run this past year and a half.
Her insubstantial feuds—or more accurately, her complete lack of them—highlight the fact that she seems to come up short in almost every match that matters. See her close-but-no-cigar effort in last month’s Money in the Bank ladder match for evidence.
This less-than-stellar ride has even found its way into WWE storylines, though it has not seemed to change much. Lynch herself remarked about her career woes in a podcast interview not long ago.
According to Slice Wrestling, fortunes could be changing for the ‘Irish Lass Kicker.’

While this bit of news should still be classified as a rumor, it does give hope to many of Lynch’s fans who would like to see her atop the SmackDown Live Women’s division again, or at least in a meaningful feud.
If the rumors are to be believed, a title program with Asuka could be just what the doctor ordered.
Of course, this would also mean that Asuka—whose credibility has been damaged by losing to Carmella and chasing James Ellsworth around—would have to get back to the summit, too.
