WWE Star Reveals Plans For His First Ever WrestleMania Match

Johnny Gargano wants to make his WrestleMania dream come true and he could be a step closer on the March 18 episode of WWE Raw.

With the recent announcement by Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis that stars from WWE Raw and SmackDown would compete in a 6-Pack Tag Team Ladder Match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 40, Gargano has shared his ambitions for the match.

On next week’s WWE Raw, #DIY will tag on The Creed Brothers in one of three tag team qualifying matches.

Taking to Twitter, Gargano reacted to the announcement by posting:

“Looks like there’s 1 path to not just achieving a lifelong dream of wrestling at our 1st Wrestlemania but also getting the opportunity to finally win the WWE Tag Team Championship on the biggest stage imaginable.

“These are the moments we live for. #DIY”

The other two qualifiers will see New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) taking on Alpha Academy (Otis & Akira Tozawa) and The Awesome Truth (Miz & R-Truth) taking on Indus Sher (Veer Mahan & Sanga).

Gargano and Ciampa are yet to hold any main roster gold, though have both been NXT Champion and Tag Team Champions with Gargano being the first NXT Triple Crown Champion.

On the March 11 WWE Raw, another WrestleMania 40 match was set with Gunther’s opponent being named as Sami Zayn.

Zayn won the gauntlet match to secure his spot at the April 6 & 7 PLE as can be seen from the video below this news story.

Chad Gable, who also featured in the gauntlet, has reacted to losing the opportunity to face Gunther one more time.
