WWE Star Breaks Character To Praise ‘Underrated’ WrestleMania 40 Opponents WWE

WWE Tag Team Champion Finn Balor has broken character to shower praise on one of the teams he’s set to battle at WrestleMania 40.

Finn Balor and Damian Priest of the Judgment Day are slated to defend both the Raw and SmackDown tag team championships in a Six Pack Tag Team Ladder match on WrestleMania 40 Night One.

With New Catch Republic, The New Day, A-Town Down Under, The Awesome Truth and DIY set to challenge for both of the Judgment Day’s tag titles, many fans are predicting that both championships will change hands on Saturday night.

Speaking with Gorilla Position, Finn Balor highlighted Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne of the New Catch Republic.

Believing that Dunne and Bate will soon show the world how good they are, Balor said:

“Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate are probably the two most underrated performers we have in WWE and… I think people are gonna find that out pretty soon.”

After teaming together on the independent scene as part of the British Strong Style faction, Dunne and Bate made their WWE debuts in the 2017 UK Championship tournament.

The two stars notably faced off in the tournament finals, with Tyler Bate ultimately winning the tournament to become the inaugural WWE/NXT UK Champion at just 19 years old.

Dunne went on to win the UK Championship from Bate in May 2017, which he held for 685 days.

Bate and Dunne were reunited on the main roster in January. The duo unsuccessfully challenged for Priest and Balor’s WWE Tag Team Championship at last month’s Elimination Chamber premium live event.
