wXw’s Absolute Andy Passes Away

wXw’s Absolute Andy Passes Away wXw

It is with a heavy heart that we have to learn about the passing of European wrestling legend Absolute Andy, real name Andreas Ullmann, at the age of 40.

His home promotion Westside X-Treme Wrestling, wXw, broke the news earlier this morning.

In a statement on Twitter, they wrote:

We say goodbye to one of the most deserved wrestlers in wXw history.

Without a doubt is Absolute Andy one of the most well-known and beloved wrestlers in the German-speaking area.

In his almost 20-year-long career, Absolute Andy has captured all big championships in wXw.

16 Carat Gold winner, Unified World Wrestling Champion, wXw Shotgun Champion, 5-time wXw World Tag Team Champion, wXw World Heavyweight Champion.

Andy is the only wrestler with all of those accolades on his resume.

Over 330x times Andy laced his boots for wXw and took on the best of the best inside the ring.

Bryan Danielson, Hiroshi Tanahashi und Jeff Jarrett were his opponents just as Walter (Gunther), Ilja Dragunov and Tommy End (Malakai Black).

His big tag teams, Jay-AA, A-4, AbLas, and Champions of Champions are part of our history.

Andy lost his long battle with illness two days ago and passed away with his wife by his side.

We wish his family and friends a lot of strength during this time and ask you to keep the necessary distance and show respect until we all pay Andy the tribute in the wXw-ring, that he earned himself for his life’s work.

We send our thoughts and condolences to Andreas Ullmann’s family, friends, and everyone affected by his passing.
