Young Bucks Address Cash Wheeler Arrest Ahead Of AEW All In London Wembley Stadium

The Young Bucks have addressed Cash Wheeler’s recent arrest ahead of AEW All In London at Wembley Stadium.

At AEW All In London, The Young Bucks are set to challenge FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championship in the third match of their trilogy in All Elite Wrestling.

Cash Wheeler, real name Daniel Wheeler, turned himself into police on Friday, August 18 following an incident on July 27 where he was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.

The situation was described as a “road rage type incident” where Wheeler “allegedly flashed a handgun at the alleged victim”.

A warrant was issued on July 28, and on August 3, he filed a not guilty plea.

On the day he turned himself in, his bond was set at $2500 and he was ordered to turn in any weapons he currently owns within 12 hours of being released, and have no contact with the victim, who isn’t someone he knows.

Later that day, the bond was paid, and he was, and is, free to work for AEW.

Despite the arrest and some questions regarding his status, Wheeler is currently scheduled to compete, so the match is still on.

Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Matt and Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks were asked about the incident ahead of this Sunday’s pay-per-view. Matt answered:

“Any time distractions happen beyond your control, it’s a bit frustrating. But we have a task at hand, and we plan on delivering.”

The Young Bucks and FTR are currently 1-1 in their series, setting up this rubber match to determine who is the better duo between two of the very best tag teams in the world today.

When asked if they can top their two previous bouts, Matt Jackson answered:

“I love a challenge I’m most excited for the opportunity to feel what it’s like to perform at an event of such magnitude.”

“It might be the culmination of everything we’ve ever worked for, and how I complete every future story I tell to my future grandkids about where my career climaxed.”

Meanwhile, Nick Jackson added on to reveal something about their first match against FTR, saying:

“Not many people know this, but I had a really bad case of Covid a month or two before that first match, and I had trouble breathing for a long time.”

“Cardio-wise, it took me a while to get healthy, so that match was probably the hardest match I ever had to get through.”

“The second match I felt a lot healthier, but it was on TV so we didn’t get a lot of time. What excites me most is having that extra time and having a beat to be able to tell the best story that we possibly can.”

AEW All In London takes place this Sunday, August 27 from Wembley Stadium. The show will be headlined by MJF defending the AEW World Championship against Adam Cole.

Also, CM Punk will face Samoa Joe for the “Real” World Championship, while Chris Jericho will do battle with Will Ospreay.
