Young Bucks File For New Trademark

Young Bucks File For New Trademark AEW

Following a vignette on AEW teasing the return of the Young Bucks,  Matt and Nick Jackson have filed a new trademark.

The Young Bucks filed a trademark for “The Wayward Sons” on November 4 for merchandising purposes and entertainment services.

In the official filing to the USPTO, the merchandise purposes are listed as including categories of hats, shirts, bandanas, sweatshirts and more.

The full description is as follows:

IC 025. US 022 039. G & S: Hats; Shirts; Socks; Bandanas; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts

IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes

The Young Bucks have been not seen on AEW television since their match alongisde Kenny Omega at AEW All Out against Adam Page and Dark Order, where they became the inaugural AEW Trios Champions.

The celebrations were shortlived as a backstage altercation broke out following CM Punk’s comments during the post-All Out media scrum.

All who were involved were suspended pending investigation, including The Young Bucks, Omega, Punk and Ace Steel.

Ace Steel has since been fired, while CM Punk is reportedly in negotiations with AEW over a contract buyout.

The investigation is considered to be over, following recent teases of The Young Bucks that have aired during AEW Dynamite since October.

The vignette has featured clips of Matt & Nick Jackson and Omega being erased from their time in AEW.

A return date has not been confirmed, but the recent trademark filing looks promising.

This news builds on reports that the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega have been backstage at recent AEW tapings. You can read more about this right here.

Nick Jackson also recently made his first public appearance since AEW All Out.

He participated in a t-shirt toss during the Los Angeles Clippers vs Utah Jazz NBA game and was explicitly presented as ‘part of AEW’ during the segment.
