WWE legend Jake Roberts has announced he’s been re-signed by AEW and will be staying with the company for another year.
Roberts made the announcement on his Snake Pit podcast.
The episode hasn’t been fully released yet, but SEScoops quotes Roberts as saying:
“Well folks, just to let you know, you’re gonna be looking at me on AEW for another year.
“That’s right, they re-signed me so that’s great news. Looking forward to doing it.”
Roberts joined AEW in 2020 in an angle with current WWE star Cody Rhodes which led to Roberts being Lance Archer’s manager.
Although Archer is rarely used on AEW TV nowadays, Roberts is still in that role, and recently introduced The Righteous to form something of a trio with Archer as well.
He also teased pitching a revamp of his Snake Pit talk show segment for AEW TV.
Despite being with AEW for several years now, Roberts still appears in the WWE 2K video games.
He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014.
We’ll keep you posted with any further updates.
