Jerry “The King” Lawler revealed on his latest episode of, “Dinner with The King” that at Sunday’s Royal Rumble event, he had a rather tense discussion earlier in the day with Mark Henry, in regards to Lawler’s perceived treatment of WWE Kickoff panelist Peter Rosenberg.
Lawler noted that upon his arrival in locker room that afternoon, Henry had said to him, “I think me and you are gonna have to fight.” Lawler revealed that Henry and Rosenberg are good friends, and that Henry had gotten Rosenberg hired by WWE. The discussion between the two centered on Rosenberg’s belief that Lawler didn’t like him, due to their lightly-combative discussions on Kickoff shows, and Lawler’s mispronunciation of his name, subjects that Rosenberg likely expressed to Henry personally.
Lawler even noted that that night, he even had to stick up for Rosenberg a tad during the question-and-answer bit with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, who mercilessly grilled Rosenberg throughout.
