WWE Hall of Famer and former multi-time WWE Champion Kurt Angle says he is willing to return to manage Chad Gable.
On the April 15 edition of WWE Raw, Sami Zayn defeated Chad Gable to retain the Intercontinental Championship. Post match, Gable turned heel by attacking Zayn in front of his family in the front row.
The week following, Gable addressed his heel turn and verbally embarrassed Alpha Academy’s Otis, Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri.
On the latest edition of The Kurt Angle Show podcast, Kurt Angle discussed Chad Gable’s new direction and was asked if he would be interested in managing Gable in a revived Team Angle. He said:
‘‘They never actually considered that [heel manager], at least with Chad. For some reason, they never decided to do another Team Angle or me team up with Alpha Academy.”
“I think that would be a great idea. If I were going to do it, it has to be worth it to me.”
Chad Gable and the rest of Alpha Academy were drafted to the Monday Night Raw brand during Night One of the WWE Draft 2024 on the April 26 episode of SmackDown.
