It seems that history might be repeating itself, as Twitter account WrestleVotes – who broke the story of Neville leaving WWE last year – has revealed that all PPVs moving forward after WrestleMania 34 could be dual-branded once again.
“Starting with the Backlash PPV May 6th, all PPVs going forward will be dual branded. No more RAW or Smackdown exclusive shows. Source states repetitive matchups to fill the card along with so-so ticket sales lead to the decision” – adding in another tweet that this will not affect the TV shows, house shows or rosters.

The weekly TV shows will not be effected.

To clarify last tweet: the brand split is not ending. RAW & Smackdown will continue to have different rosters. Two separate brands will remain on TV. House shows will remain the same. The only change is for PPVs. Both brands will have matches on each PPV show.

This was backed up by Brad Shepard of Bodyslam.net, who posted an image sent to him by a Backlash ticket holder that says the show will now feature both Raw and Smackdown stars.

Hang on a second, I thought Survivor Series was the only night of the year that Raw and Smackdown stars went head to head in direct competition! What if they have a match on another show?! What will this mean for the all-important and always followed up on Survivor Series main event?!
