HUGE WWE Return LEAKED For SummerSlam?! WrestleTalk News Video

Ex-WWE Writer Reveals All

There are many big questions surrounding the wrestling world. Who was behind GTV? Why exactly did The Great Khali help Jinder Mahal last year? Who threw the pie at Kevin Owens? Who really is Byron Saxton? And I’ll do you one better, why is Vince McMahon?

Someone who might be able to answer that incredible question is former WWE writer Kevin Eck. Eck worked for WWE from 2011 to 2014, and has gone on record with some fascinating behind the scenes stories such as the original plans for The Shield, Dean Ambrose’s proposed character debut and his plans to turn Cody and Brandi Rhodes into the new Goldust and Marlena. And in a new interview with Wade Keller, Eck has revealed some new interesting tidbits about his former boss Vince McMahon.

“As Vince has gotten older I think he has become more forgetful with things and there were a lot of instances where he had to be reminded. He would just flat out ask, ‘What did we do on RAW last week with this guy? What did we do?’ He would need to be caught up to speed.”

And along with telling a story about how Vince McMahon even forgot what Brock Lesnar’s finisher was – even though he’d taken it himself in the past – Eck shared memories of Vince’s feelings on women’s wrestling in WWE in 2014 before throwing some brief shade on the current champions.

“Whenever there was a suggestion of more of a wrestling type match [for women] or some type of stipulation, whether it be Falls Count Anywhere or whatever it might have been, it was, ‘No no no one wants to see that.’ He would look at the girls as providing a sexuality aspect of the show. ‘Let’s get some sexuality on the show,’ which meant let’s get a women’s match on the show. You would get a 3 or 4 minute match and get the women in the ring and guys can see hot women and that would be a nice buffer to the next men’s match. That’s the way they were promoted. That era: Carmella or Alexa Bliss? Absolutely. They were perfect champions for that era; but, not today.”

Maybe Kevin Eck is a bigger fan of Charlotte Flair? Although if he is, he won’t be seeing a lot of her for a while.
