UFC President Dana White inducted Rousey into the Hall, putting her over for changing his mind about allowing women to fight in UFC and as a result “changing the world”.
White praised Rousey for headlining shows and selling pay-per-views and tickets, crediting her as the true pioneer of the women’s MMA revolution. Saying she had transcended the sport, White called Rousey a cultural icon and even mentioned her transition to pro wrestling.
Rousey entered to her ‘Bad Reputation’ theme alongside husband Travis Browne, looking overawed by the praise she had received. After thanking the fans, she called her induction an honor and said she hoped she would be the first female of many to enter the Hall.

Concluding the emotional and humble speech, Rousey said she had been inspired by the fans far more than she had inspired them, and encouraged people to never believe negative things that anyone might say about them, whatever they do in life.
Despite her onscreen suspension, Rousey is back on the road with WWE this weekend, wrestling on the house show loop including making her debut at Madison Square Garden.
