More sad news to bring you today, as former WWF Tag Team Champion Grandmaster Sexay – real name Brian Christopher Lawler – has reportedly passed away.
Dave Meltzer tweeted:
Just to confirm, Nikolai Volkoff, Brian Lawler and Brickhouse Brown have all passed away. Very sad day for pro wrestling.

This news comes as a follow up to a story earlier today, detailing that Lawler hanged himself in jail after being arrested for DUI earlier this month.
Sexay is best known for his time as part of the Too Cool tag team, with Scotty 2 Hotty and Rikishi.
He wrestled for the WWF from 1997-2001, where he won the tag team gold with the aforementioned Scotty 2 Hotty, and later formed a team with Steve Blackman before being released.
Lawler went on to wrestle for TNA in 2002-2004 under his real name. He formed a team called Next Generation, who were rivals with veterans such as Sean Waltman and Dusty Rhodes.
He returned to WWE for a one-off appearance in 2011 to side with Michael Cole during the latter’s rivalry with Brian’s real life father WWE Hall of Famer, Jerry Lawler.
His final day on WWE TV was at the NXT Arrival show, in which he and Scotty 2 Hotty unsuccessfully challenged the Ascension for the NXT Tag Team Championships.
We send our condolences to all affected by this loss.
