AJ Styles and Samoa Joe Clash After Smackdown Live!

AJ Styles and Samoa Joe Clash After Smackdown Live!

Following their heated exchange which revolved around a letter supposedly penned by AJ Styles’ spouse, the WWE Champion and Samoa Joe had to be separated after SmackDown Live had gone off of the air, after the champ attempted to attack his smug challenger backstage.

Though officials managed to halt any major fisticuffs, the pair would trade blows in the dark match of the evening in a six-man tag team affray after 205 Live. AJ Styles united with his Club teammates Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson to battle the ‘Samoan Destroyer,’ Randy Orton, and Shinsuke Nakamura.

According to reports, the entrances lasted longer than the actual bout which only went 3:30. The babyface team snatched a victory from the jaws of defeat at the conclusion of a slick series of exchanges. Subsequent to a Kinshasa on Luke Gallows, the WWE United States Champion was clobbered with a Styles Clash for the victory.

AJ Styles will defend the WWE Championship against Samoa Joe at SummerSlam on Sunday, whilst Shinsuke Nakamura will put his WWE United States Championship on the line in a rematch against Jeff Hardy. The Club and Randy Orton currently have no role on the card yet.
