Drew McIntyre Issues Response To CM Punk WWE Raw Promo WWE

The war of words between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre has intensified thanks to the April 29 episode of WWE Raw.

While the atmosphere may have been tense as the remaining roster discovered whether they’ll be on Raw or SmackDown as part of the WWE Draft Night 2 (results here), there was a different kind of tension between Punk and McIntyre.

With CM Punk drafted to WWE Raw, that wasn’t the only moment of the night for the Second City Saint who took the mic to say:

“So, I don’t want to waste your time like Drew McIntyre, so I’m going to try to do this in less time you were world champion, which means I’ve got five minutes and forty-six seconds.”

With McIntyre looking on, Punk took the time to sit down, crossed leg to deliver further shots at McIntyre, saying:

“This would normally be the part of the program where I ask you ‘do I have your attention now?’

“But, I can see as clear as day just like everybody else here that I’ve had your attention for quite some time.

“You’re like an ex-girlfriend that I can’t get rid of.

“And, you say that I hurt your elbow? Good. You prayed for me to get injured. I did that to you.

“I thought you maybe got hurt just sitting on Twitter and tweeting because that’s all you’re good for.

“And, that is why I was drafted before you. I’m not mad, I’m not out for revenge. You’ve given me purpose.”

Punk took a moment to let the words sink in while the crowd chanted his name, going on to say:

“The reason, Drew McIntyre, I was drafted before you is simple wrestling economics.

“It’s because I am the best in the world… in this ring, on this microphone, even on commentary nobody can touch me.”

“Losers hope things happen. Losers pray for things to happen. Winners make it happen. And, when I’m cleared, when I’m 100%, I’m going to make your life a living hell.”

Punk’s words have clearly struck home as Drew McIntyre responded by stating:

“You made my life (and a bunch others) hell back in 2011.

“They might be cowards now and play house with you. But that doesn’t work me brother.

“In 2024 you’re my bitch.”

McIntyre currently has an injury to his elbow and will reportedly be “off house shows for now“.

CM Punk has also been sidelined with an injury though has stated that he is “on track” with his recovery.
