It has just been announced by WWE that Big Show will make his in-ring return this coming Tuesday, as he takes on Randy Orton in a WWE World Cup qualifying match.
Yes, believe it or not, we are actually in 2018, not 2013 as this match may lead you to believe.
Big Show hasn’t competed in a WWE ring since losing to Braun Strowman is a Steel Cage match on an episode of Raw in September 2017, when the ‘Monster Among Men’ Powerslammed Show through one of the panels to put him out of action for over a year.
The ‘World’s Largest Athlete’ will square off against Randy Orton, who is hot off the back of a win in Hell in a Cell against Jeff Hardy, and battering poor Tye Dillinger for the last couple of weeks.
Could we see the return of Orton’s punt kick to retire Big Show for good?
Show vs. Orton isn’t the only World Cup qualifier announced for this Tuesday, as the aforementioned Jeff Hardy takes on Samoa Joe, who lost out to AJ Styles in a No DQ WWE Championship match at Super Show-Down.Also announced for Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown is a Women’s Title rematch between champion Becky Lynch, and challenger Charlotte Flair.
