IMPACT President Ed Nordholm has spoke out about the mysterious meeting that took place between his promotion and WWE officials.
Very little had previously been revealed about the meeting, with Dave Meltzer saying almost nothing on the subject in his Wrestling Observer Newsletter since the meeting took place.
Of course, this kind of secret meeting always ramps up speculation that WWE are on the verge of buying IMPACT, but according to Nordholm, this wasn’t the case.
Speaking on the Sitting Ringside with David Penzer podcast, Nordholm claimed the meeting took place in order to open the door for further and more frequent meetings in the future.
He also admitted that IMPACT content was discussed, with WWE potentially looking to use some on their network.
Of course this is just the beginning, but it is certainly promising to see that the two companies are keen on improving their working relationship.
Hopefully this is a sign of things to come, as you would assume it will make for a healthier pro-wrestling scene in America if the two get along.
