Last night’s Crown Jewel event was full of surprises. Whether they were good or not is another conversation entirely but one of the biggest was undoubtedly Brock Lesnar’s shock Universal Title win.
With Lesnar seemingly heading to the UFC, this match seemed a near certainty to be a passing of the torch moment, ending with Braun Strowman getting a well-deserved Universal title run.

What actually happened was complete and utter destruction from The Beast, with Brock hitting five F5’s to defeat the Monster.
Not only did that secure Brock his second Universal title but it also set up another champion versus champion match at Survivor Series.

With AJ Styles defeating Samoa Joe yet again at the Saudi Arabia event, The Phenomenal One will be facing Brock Lesnar in a rematch of their 2017 battle at the same PPV.
Whilst it may be annoying to many fans that the red brand won’t be getting a fresh face holding the belt, the quality of the first Styles vs Lesnar match was good enough to leave fans wanting wanting more. It was one of the best WWE matches of last year.
Styles vs Lesnar II joins a rapidly forming Survivor Series card with Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey and Seth Rollins vs Shinsuke Nakamura confirmed as the other champion vs champion bouts.
With just two weeks until the Raw vs Smackdown themed show, the card is shaping up to be really fun but as with last year’s event, these matches are subject to change with title changes still being a possibility in the build-up.
