WWE Survivor Series may be the one night of the year when superstars of Raw and SmackDown Live go head to head (even though it definitely isn’t). The main roster has a third brand, however, of the purple variety and their top title has just been announced for the pay-per-view.
As announced in 205 Live‘s opening by General Manager Drake Maverick, the title shot that Mustafa Ali earned last week after beating Tony Nese will take place at the last of the year’s big four shows.
This makes the WWE Cruiserweight Championship match between current top dog Buddy Murphy and challenger Ali the only title match on the entire show. I’d say that makes it the most important and that it should headline but that’s just me… it only stole the show at Super Show-Down.
Considering all the momentum the brand has built up over 2018, as well as a previous match between Murphy and Ali being named the best of the year on 205 Live, this one will hopefully make the main show. The brand, the title, and both men truly deserve the spotlight. Let’s just hope they get the time to once again blow the roof off the place and prove why everyone should be watching 205 Live.
