WWE is filming its 16th annual Tribute To The Troops today at Fort Hood, Texas, which will air on December 20 on the USA Network.
WWE announced earlier today that regular celebrity collaborator John Stewart will be in attendance alongside country music star Morgan Wallen, who will perform on the show.
For wrestling fans the far bigger news is the report from PW Insider’s Mike Johnson that Roman Reigns is in attendance at the event and will likely be involved in the broadcast.
Roman will not be wrestling of course, we are still some way from that happening until he has defeated leukaemia again, but he is expected to make an appearance in front of the crowd and show his support for the troops.
Also confirmed for the show is a second attempt at last night’s Raw opener pitting Ronda Rousey and Natalya against Nia Jax and Tamina, and Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair joining forces to battle Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.
That is also interesting news given reports that Natalya is dealing with a legitimate injury following Raw, suggesting that she is not injured at all and it is merely part of the story.
