One thing you can always count on from WWE is that they will take any situation good or bad and spin it to their advantage. After all, turning negatives into positives is one of Vince McMahon’s go-to battle plans.
The promotion is seemingly at it again, using the recent Toni Storm hacked image leaks and the swell of support for her on social media via the #WeSupportToniStorm hashtag to promote tomorrow’s TakeOver Blackpool event.
Rhea Ripley, posting on Twitter (almost certainly with approval from WWE brass), mocked the movement with the following tweet, using it to build heat for her NXT UK Women’s title defence against Storm tomorrow:
Mood every time I see a #WeSupportToniStorm hashtag… Pathetic#TheNightmare 👹#FirstEver #NXTUKWomensChampion pic.twitter.com/HuV1l0frqF

At least we can thank our lucky stars that the days of the Attitude Era are long gone. Had we been in those murkier times, no doubt Ripley would have been revealed as the person behind the leaks in the first place!
You can watch Toni Storm’s meeting with Rhea Ripley at NXT TakeOver Blackpool tomorrow at 7pm BST on the WWE Network.
Do you think it is okay for Ripley to use Storm’s personal image leaks as part of a storyline rivalry? Let us know in the comments.
