Two-time World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler recently rejected a contract offer from WWE to become a producer, and could be on his way out of the company, reports PWInsider.
The report notes that sources claim that, as of today, he is still under contract to WWE and some have denied he is on his way out. BUT… there are also some who are pointing to January 31 as a possible exit date for the ‘Show-Off’.
The rumors of Ziggler’s possible release have emerged shortly after the news that Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson of the Revival, and husband and wife Mike and Maria Kanellis, all handed in requests to be released from WWE, with their requests being rejected.
Ziggler hasn’t been on TV since Drew McIntyre beat him in a cage match on the December 31 Raw, that was taped on December 28, and he hasn’t been on the house show loop since January 6.
The six-time IC Champion recently changed his Twitter name to Nic Nemeth – which is of course his real name, and is set to embark on a stand-up comedy tour on January 27, which is the same date of the Royal Rumble, just across the street from the Rumble’s venue Chase Field stadium in Phoenix.
