IWGP Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi has been announced as one of the featured performers for the upcoming Giant Baba Memorial Show. Tanahashi will team with Yoshitatsu to take on the team of Triple Crown Champion Kento Miyahara and Deisuke Sekimoto in the main event.
This will be the first time Tanahashi and Miyahara will meet in the ring. Kento Miyahara has competed in All Japan Pro Wrestling since 2013, becoming a four-time Triple Crown Champion. Hiroshi Tanahashi made his debut in New Japan Pro Wrestling in 1999. Since then he has gone on to become an eight-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion and arguably one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time.
The event will celebrate the life of All Japan Pro Wrestling legend and co-founder, Giant Baba. Baba passed away at the age of 61 on January 31st, 1999. This event will mark the 20th anniversary of Baba’s death.

- Satoshi Kojima, Yuji Nagata and Omasu Nishimura vs. Jun Akiyama, Takao Omori and Taiyo Kea
- Atsushi Onita, Kendo Kashin, Hideki Suzuki and Hideki Hosaka vs. Great Kojika, Mitsuya Nagai, Shuji Ishikawa and Hikaru Sato in a street fight tornado bunkhouse deathmatch
- SANADA and BUSHI vs. Jake Lee & Koji Iwamoto vs. Ayato Yoshida & Shota Umino in a three way match
- Taichi, Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Taka Michinoku vs. Masanobu Fuchi, Yoshiaki Fujiwara and Yuma Aoyagi
- Kazushi Miyamoto, Tomohiko Hashimoto, Daichi Hashimoto and Takuya Nomura vs. Tomoaki Honma, Yuji Okabayashi, Naoya Nomura and Ren Narita
- Giant Baba Memorial battle royal featuring Mitsuo Momota, Kim Duk, Joel Deaton, MEN’s Teioh, TARU, Ryuji Hijikata, Yuto Aijima, Tsuyoshi Kikuchi, Masahito Kakihara, Masao Inoue, Tamon Honda and Yasu Urano
The event will take place at Sumo Hall on February 19th.
