Earlier today, AEW’s first show Double or Nothing sold out in four minutes, and if that’s not an illustration of how big of a deal this is, I don’t know what is.
Tens of thousands of fans were left empty handed after being unable to get their hands on tickets during the pre or general sale releases.
Cody has now taken to Twitter to share some interesting facts about the sellout, and to thank fans for their support.
• Tickets purchased from all 50 states domestically(plus Puerto Rico / D.C)
• 9 countries. Canada, UK, Mexico, Australia, Costa Rica, Finland, Germany, Panama, Austria
• 1st same day sellout for pro-wrestling in Vegas ever!
Thank you fans for going “all in” on this dream. pic.twitter.com/F5oi8A7uDu

To be the first ever promotion to sell out a pro-wrestling show in Las Vegas, a city renowned for hosting the sport, is pretty phenomenal.
Glad to see the UK is being represented, because it means someone can smuggle me in their suitcase when they go.
There are always going to be doubters in regards to the future success of the promotion and in some ways you can understand, given the failed bids of so many other promotions to battle with the big boys of wrestling.
But what this shows more than anything is that people are willing to give it a chance to be something bigger than many people ever gave it a chance to be.
